Summer: July

July started off with a bang as we celebrated Independence Day with an outdoor Marine Band concert at the Escondido Performing Arts Center!

Z danced the night away with her glow sticks.

Alex featured on a song that he arranged.

And of course, the fun-filled night concluded with a patriotic firework show!

Z and L were invited to celebrate a friend's birthday at Legoland! The birthday girl requested that we all wear rainbow tutus! So fun spending the day with long-time friends, the Lacys!

 It was our first time there and it was actually pretty cool.

The aquarium was impressive too!

Happy 5th birthday to Evie, and thanks for inviting us!

 

We enjoyed Christian Community Theater's production of "Mary Poppins" outdoors on Mt. Helix! So many great memories playing in the pit orchestra here. Z loved her first CCT show!

 L's good friend Janay also joined us for the show.

Z attended her first VBS at our church!

 The theme was Camp Kilimanjaro, and the kids loved it!

 The kids sang a song they learned at VBS for the Sunday services. Of course, our girl is looking at the boy behind her, haha.

Z's last day of ballet. She stuck with it for over 5 months this time and we are proud of her for giving her best effort.

 Beach day with A's childhood friend, Jon, and his family. Who would have guessed these orchestral musicians would become Marines?!

L attended the groovy Happy Together Tour with her buddy Jenny at Humphrey's-by-the-Bay in San Diego.

To top it all off, the Gees visited us from Illinois and it was so much fun! Z loved spending time with her cousins.

We also had a blast at our Meadows family luau at Doheny State Beach.

We even got to celebrate cousin B's 8th birthday!

 So fun to have all the Gees and Richardsons to complete the Meadows bunch!
