Back-to-School Season

This cutie pie started kindergarten in mid-August!

However, we all know that we get our best summer weather after school has started, so thankfully, school is only half-day and we get plenty of time to play!

Discovering her mommy's old box of Barbies from the 1980s.

Laser tag outing with friends from church.

Z's "Star of the Day" poster from school.

Family time with "Big A" visiting from New York.

Visiting A on the job.

A was awarded his 2nd Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal.

L got an all-expenses paid overnight trip to the hospital and left without an appendix. Thank you, Navy doctors!
Over Labor Day weekend, we took a little camping trip just up the road to the beach on Camp Pendleton with Papa and Gigi.

Birthday BBQ for Gigi with Great Grandpa Meadows.

Such a fun and beautiful weekend!

Greek Festival in Cardiff with Yiayia.
Z loved the Greek dancers and ended up dragging Yiayia onto the dance floor.

So much fun... so hard to wake up in the morning...

Meanwhile, A performed with the 1st Marine Division Band at the annual Scottish Highland Games in Estes Park, Colorado.

Followed by a week with the All-Star Marine Corps Jazz Band, made up of the best musicians in fleet. We got to see them perform at the Miramar band hall before they headed to Monterey, and it was an awesome concert!
A playing his featured solo during their performance at the Monterey Jazz Festival.

Beach bonfire with our church group.

Surprise trip to Legoland! Z's favorite is the "Egypt ride."

 And she still loves dinosaurs.

And Fall has just begun, so there are many more fun events to come!
