A New Year

Hanging out with our pier pelicans on a beautiful January day.

Sunset with Thea C.

New 'do for the girls! Both L and Z donated a collective 18 inches to Locks of Love.

So proud of our little girl!

Farewell lunch for Thea!

We will miss her so much, but are excited about her next adventure outside of California.

We got to visit Daddy at work and watch him perform several of his arrangements with the 1st Marine Division Band brass quintet!

A new musical addition in the house: we inherited the Meadows family piano!

A fun visit with Gigi's sisters/Z's Great Aunts, Sara and Bonnie!

Dinosaur exhibit with Gigi.

The animatronic dinosaurs were very cool.

This dino-fan was in heaven!

Our creative girl making up her version of a board game.

Summer days in February!

Special family dinner on Valentine's Day.

Our yummy filet mignon steaks are hiding at the far end.
Our favorite mini-Valentine.

Whale watching tour with Gigi in Dana Point. We did see one whale, but especially enjoyed the dolphins and seal lions.

A has traveled on several tours with the brass quintet this year! Here's the group after a performance in the Midwest (with a former member of the Canadian Brass Quintet in attendance).

Performed in the All-Star Marine Jazz Band with a member of the President's Own Marine Band.

While on tour in Philadelphia, A and another trombone player attempted to visit the Liberty Bell in 12-degree weather, but the museum was closed.

Chillin' with a cold George Washington statue.

Finding new friends backstage at the Lincoln Center in New York City.

And on the homefront, Z giving ballet another try!

She loves demonstrating her cloppy tap shoes.

Stay tuned for more fun in the spring!
