Well, after a great cross-country adventure, we're back where we started from! I think California is a little happy to see us back too. (Z in front of the Oceanside Library.)
At the end of August, the moving truck arrived and we quickly settled into our new home in Camp Pendleton. Check out this lovely military housing!
Here's a quick tour: first is the front living room.
On the right is the staircase to the second floor; continue through to the kitchen and great room area.
The huge backyard!
Z's big girl room.
Our guestroom. We have a big air mattress for visitors!
Guest bathroom (can't tell here but there are even double sinks!).
Our master bedroom.
Not a bad view from our bedroom window!
And as we were finishing settling in, our preschooler started her first day of school! All ready for Pre-K at the base school.
A nice part about being back in California is being closer to family again, including rooftop dinners.
We also enjoyed our annual family tradition of attending the Cardiff Greek Festival with Papou and YiaYia.
Thanks to some pretty nice weather, we're back to enjoying our Pacific Ocean.
Taking advantage of our local babysitters and finally going out on our 10th wedding anniversary dinner date!
L attended a concert, the British Invasion 50th Anniversary Tour, but someone else was wishing she was old enough to go too.
Z says, "Peace Out!"
And it's fun getting to be "tourists" in beautiful San Diego. We enjoyed an outing in downtown SD, Balboa Park, and Mt. Helix.
We loved the new Waterfront Park. Zoe is really working on those poses.
View of the harbor.
The Lily Pond at The Prado, Balboa Park
The Alcazar Garden
Heading toward the Botanical House.
Nice view of the koi pond.
View from Mt. Helix (where A proposed to L over 10 1/2 years ago)!
The big cross is still there too!
Here we are again, and it feels like we never left!
